Who is responsible

Gary Payne, trading as JAKD, is responsible for processing personal data on this website. Full contact details are available in the Impressum. For privacy requests, email hallo@jakd.ch. We process personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

Visiting this website (hosting)

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the website, Cloudflare automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and device information, the pages requested and the time of your visit. This data is used only to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks and misuse.

Cloudflare operates a global network, so this data may be processed outside Switzerland, including in the USA. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Please also refer to Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Your cookie choice

When you first visit, we ask whether you agree to website statistics. We store your answer in your browser’s local storage (entry “jakd-consent-v1”) so that we do not ask again. This entry stays on your device and is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page.

All fonts on this website are loaded from our own server. No data is sent to third parties for this.

Booking a conversation

When you use the JAKD Discovery booking link, Google Calendar handles the booking process. Information you enter, such as your name, email address and message, is processed by Google and made available to JAKD so we can prepare for the conversation and respond to your request. If you have agreed to website statistics, we only record that a booking button was clicked — not what you enter on the booking page. Google may process this information outside Switzerland. Please also refer to Google’s privacy policy.

Website statistics (Google Analytics)

If you agree, we use Google Analytics 4 to create statistics about how this website is used. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, together with Google LLC in the USA. Google Analytics only runs after you click “Accept”; until then, nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookies are set.

Data collected: pages viewed, time on page, the website or campaign that sent you here, whether a booking button was clicked, approximate location (country and region), device type, browser and operating system. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers or anything you type on the booking page to Google Analytics; web addresses sent to it are shortened to remove anything other than the page and campaign information.

Settings: Google signals and advertising personalisation are switched off, and Google Analytics is not linked to Google Ads.

Purpose: to understand how visitors use the website and to improve its content and our marketing.

Processing outside Switzerland: Google may process this data in other countries, including the USA. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Retention: Google Analytics keeps event-level data for the period set in our Google Analytics account. After that, it is deleted automatically.

Cookies: Google Analytics sets the cookies “_ga” and “_ga_…” to recognise repeat visits. They expire after 13 months at the latest.

Your choice: Google Analytics runs only if you click “Accept”. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page; when you withdraw it, Google Analytics stops and the Google Analytics cookies set by this website are deleted. How long data is kept

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose described above, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. The exact retention period depends on the relevant service provider and its configured settings.

Your rights
